Enrique Lozano

Enrique Lozano was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, and Ciudad Juárez. A graduate of Socorro High School, he has been actively engaged in the El Paso culinary scene for over 12 years. Heavily influenced by his Mexican background and inspired by his skillful parents, Chef Enrique has become a local force in the industry.

After honing his skills in several Michelin-starred restaurants, Lozano opened two of his own establishments, earning a prestigious James Beard nomination for Best Chef in Texas and recognition from the U.S. Congress, among other accolades. He has also privately catered for professional NFL athlete and local hero Aaron Jones and his family.

Most recently, Lozano showcased his talents on a national level by appearing on Food Network’s "Beat Bobby Flay" and winning first place on "Chopped." Chef Enrique Lozano is currently the resident chef at the renowned Benny Franks in East El Paso and the executive chef at Mija Community Kitchen. He continues to elevate the region with pride, representing El Paso and its people around the world.
